Thumbs Down Stupid Muggy Heat !

Anyone else having a yucky, hot, stormy, muggy, it hurts to move and I hate MS day?

As long as the storms don't take out my electricity, I'm good in my A/C house, with my wittle TV and PC..

I just wish, that every time I started to feel good, the weather didn't come along and take the wind out of my sails.

How's the weather in your neck of the woods and how are ya feeling?

The heat and humidity do a number on me, too, Sally. It's fairly dry here - just sooooo hot. It's supposed to get up to 95 today. Rain is on the way for tomorrow afternoon, Thursday and Friday. I can count on stiff legs and achy joints on those days. In fact, I take two Aleve when I get up on days it's supposed to rain. Sometimes it helps.....sometimes it doesn't.

I've been pretty "tipsy" the past few days. Staggering around like I'm drunk. I walked right into the back of the couch the other evening.......both boys just looked at me and then one of them said "I hate it when the couch does that".

I always wonder what you southern folks do when the power goes out...do you all have generators? I can barely survive 80 when it's humid. Like today. Yuck.

My brain moves in slo mo anyway, and in muggy weather it sounds like I've got the record player on the wrong speed.

You do SO remember record players.

Storms this morning -- otherwise dreary, humid day. Temp's are supposed to hit the 90s by the end of the weel. Blah!

Storms all day. Just about 1 hr. ago things got quiet.

I don't think I was ever in a thunderstorm warning for the whole
day. The wind, rain, lighting, thunder were terrifying.

The thunder at times sounded like a war ship shooting off one of its
big canons, (whatever you call it)

It wasn't hot or muggy while this was going on. That was a surprise
Outside the temp is 70

Everytime one of the boomers went off I don't know who jumped up
first ME or SAGE. That is the only time she barked.

There are still some showers predicted. I don't like this weather.

The nice thing about Hot Hot Hot Florida is that almost everything is a/c. So you can go from house to cool car to cool store etc. The only heat exposure is the brief walk from car to store.

Of course, its very hot for five months if you want to garden though....

How about a cooling vest??

I'm not sure why but my power hasn't ever gone out here at this house. I've only been here a year and a half but the utilities are all underground in this subdivision. That might be the reason why. It's so nice not to have wires strung all over the place.

We've never had a generator. The only time I ever wished we did was in 1997 when a tornado came through our subdivision and the power was out for three days........and it was June.

I just don't want a repeat of last years hurricane that hit in OHIO.. and knocked out all our power for a full week....that was awful.

We are such pansies now, with all our amenities......but, with MS, it can become life threatening. I grew upwithout it, but I couldn't survive without A/C now..

Ruthie, California and no A/C???
