Hello all! I was just wondering how many of of you have BOTH MG and Fibro? The reason I am askingt is that I am on meds for fibro my symptoms have almost completely gone AWAY - though I have these crazy nightmares and actually punched my hubby 3 times the other night in my sleep..........not good
![]() On the positive side, I no longer wake up crying or feeling like my limbs have hot pokers going through them.........I have decided to call Dr. I 2morrow and ask what is going on - I DO NOT want one those Chantix crazy side effects and am sleeping on the sofa for Mike's safety! ![]() Anyone else have both and the crazy nightmares? Any info would be appreciated! Erin ![]()

Hi Erin;
I don't have fibro or know anything about Chantix but my sister-in-law has fibro and I know she has quite a bit of pain and has to take frequent naps. It's been pretty hard on her. I'm glad you have found something that is helping at least some! Thank goodness you've got a great doctor who will work closely with you to help make you better. I hope you continue to find solutions that will help give you better days. Best wishes!

Im not on the meds you are on but I have had some really horrific nightmares. One was so bad that I was terrified of going to sleep.
Sometimes this can be a sign of low O2 stats whilst you sleep. My nightmares corresponded with a time that I would wake up literally gasping for breath at night. It seemed every time I dropped off I would suddenly sit bolt upright and it seemed like an age before I could get my breath. Have you checked out the side effects of your drugs on the internet? I know beta blockers can give people nightmares. Its such a shame you get rid of the pain and then you get nightmares. I hope you get it sorted. Love Rach |

Hey Erin,
I don't have Fibro either, but I do know so many different meds can cause nightmares. I had them when I took Tylenol with codene and I've been having wierd dreams since I started taking Lopresser, a beta blocker. Did the information sheet you got with the drug say anything about it? It must feel wonderful to not have that horrible pain all the time. Take care and let us know what you find out. ![]() Hugs, Pat |
