Hi Patrick,

sorry you are having a bad time at the moment.
I was refered to a continence nurse early on in my diagnosis. I had bad problems with incontinence. Luckily I very rarely have problems now nearly 7 years on, but if I get sick or very tired I tend to stay close to home, just in case, I tend to know my body now and how far I can push it. Hope you get some help with the people you've been refered to, I know I did.
take care
Kate

Hey Patrick,

I hope your GP can prescribe something that will work for you. I hope too that you get an earlier appt. with your consultant so you can get your MG symptoms under control. Just remember it will get better so hang in there.

Hugs,
Pat

gp is a joke and a lazy man .
Managed to get to see neuro yesterday.
Guess what I sensed the population of N Ireland has not allowed them to see any cases with my extreme conditions.
However he was able to confirm pred has not kicked in and has approved a level I found worked at 120mg every 3 hours.
No weakness anywhere but a little muscle flutter and eye flutter .Can put up with that for the moment.
Might make an interesting poll how large a population does your neuro see to allow him to be an expert in your condition.
Perhaps that is why in the Us there is such a wide variation in the time of diagnosis .

I had a bad problem with mucus in my chest and throat during the beginning of my Mestinon treatment....I am also on a high dose (was at 120 4x a day, now I'm at 1 3/4 pill about 105 mg)...hopefully you start feeling better soon, but I just wanted to let you know about the mucus issue...Mine got better after a few weeks with the meds...
