4 full days out, nothing but the chills each afternoon so far, a bit tired, Im taking my pieces of mestinon. Being patient.
Seems I cold all the time since my hospital visit. Some kind of strange feeling for me, since Ive always been a person that feels hot even in the dead of winter.

day 5 after treatment, kinda funny, I feel more tired and worn out 5 days out then I did a few days in.
got called into work at 6 am this morning, emergency, someone covering for me had their kid get sick and admitted into hospital overnight, so I had little choice other than to work today.
a bit weak, slept well, thats another funny thing, I tend to sleep better since Ive came home, but it could be the exhausted feeling.
hanging tough waiting to see something good come out of this.

Teeth Hi Allen!

Hey hon!

Sometimes it takes a few days after you are done with the IV IG b/4 you REALLY start to feel it.......hang in there a few more days (if you can) and let your neuro know if you haven't gotten any relief.

I know that the plasma exchange hasn't ever done anything for me - EVER! You may be one of the people that react really, really well to it. Have you talked to your dr about that one?

Hope you feel better soon - like TODAY!

Love,
ERin

I wont switch treatments at this time.
Id give ivig at least 3 shots before I stop doing it.

Im not going to call my neuro, I see him in 2 weeks.

If he doesnt feel the need for his office to check in with me a week or so after I did the treatment, I dont feel the need to check in with him.
I hope you are feeling better.

Talking Hi Allen!

Hey hon! I did not mean to offend you @ all.....I can promise you that!

I can't believe your neuro doesn't check in with you...that's just plain nuts! Granted I LOVE mine, but he comes in every day to check on me when I have mine and always admits me - just in case - maybe overkill, but I FEEL safer that way - plus I'm just crazy about the nurses as well!

I'm still feeling weak, but have high hopes about the Mayo - plus I'm having an entire bone scan tomorrow to see what all is broken - just broke my thumb the other night - so we'll see how that goes!

Take care!
Big hugs!
ERin

erin, there isnt a way in the world you could ever offend me.
I luv you and read everything you post. You are inspirational.

My neuro is part of a large group.
there are around 6-8 neuros in his group.
the first day,his young associate came in and introduced herself.
Id rather see her than him anyway, shes young and beautiful.
the second day, he came in and sat down and we spoke a bit.
each day one of two of his associates visited me in the morning and evening to check up on things.
Im not the type to complain to physicians or nurses unless I absolutely have too. thats why I come here to vent.
My nurse yelled at me the third day because I couldnt bend my hand or fingers anymore when I knocked the iv needle out or something and my hand swelled up and became very painful. she told me I shouldnt hesitate a second to call her for anything. cant beat that kind of treatment. these nurses that took care of me deserve gold medals. they were top of the line.

6 days(short 2 hours) since final treatment, nothing noticed.Im not as tired or run down, but still taking the mestinon come afternoons.
I must of had a great feeling sunday, my first day out, having slept in my own bed, and all, thought my eyes were doing much better, and I guess they were, having a great nights sleep, but seems they were just teasing me and I refused to give in at the time.

I put a call into my neuros office. I know calling on a friday afternoon is not going to get me fast return call, but I want to speak with him and see how he sums up my situation at this point, if he has an opinion at all.

got my return call, not the dr., his secretary. she said she spoke with him about my question, and that I shouldnt expect much for 3 weeks or so, and I have an appt with him anyway in 2 weeks from now.
Ill remain a bit optimistic, totally out of character for me.
