Default friend requests- off topic

I just want to apologize to all those that sent me friend requests.

I am just not a face-book kind of person. (as oppsed to my son, who practically lives there!)

(well, we all have our limitations).

if any one wants to private-message me that's fine, and I do try to answer as soon as I see the message.

so hope no one is offended.

maybe after I took a crash course in neurology, neuromuscular physiology, pulmonology, and recently some law school (due to a ridiculous law suit I have with my dissability insurance, who insist that although I was clearly told by two neuromuscular experts that I clearly do not have MG, 20 years ago, I should have known that I do). I will eventually learn those face-book etc. but until then, I am not too good with that.

Alice,
Thank goodness I'm not the only person who doesn't facebook!!! Even though I have an account I NEVER get on it and have times I wish I hadn't set it up at all. I would certainly not be upset if you didn't respond to a friendship request and I can't imagine anyone else here would either. I think it's one of those things you're either into or your not.

Alice, Kendra...

Me too! Never had an account - and don't want to. I have trouble keeping up with my personal email which is only available to a limited number of folks! While I love the internet - and communities like this - there are only so many hours in my day...and I like to spend most of them in a non-cyber world.

No prob., Alice...I sometimes regret joining facebook...There are so many requests for quizzes, 'join this group,' chain letters, I sometimes want to delete my account...lol...I currently have 300 unanswered requests...Does anyone else find these annoying other than me? lol...I'll sign onto Hotmail, and I'll have messages from Facebook, and it'll turn out to be something like, "Join craig's (fake name) quest for world domination with his use of skateboards" or something silly like that...Or, "take the which dress is most likely to stun him" test...I'm like, "Please Lord, make it stop- Please!" lol

I joined facebook last year and I have mixed feelings about it. I finally got tired of all the game requests and set up my facebook account so I wouldn't receive emails from facebook. I like games occasionally, but I surely do not want to know when everyone plays a game on facebook.

I do have positive things to say about facebook. It is fun to share common interests with people on facebook.

Admittedly, there are probably better internet sites to talk to people with common interests. I am new with spending so much time on my computer (due to MG taking away my ability to be as active as I want to be) and I am trying to find inspiring places on the internet...any ideas of more interesting internet sites?

I certainly do not have hurt feelings if someone is not my facebook friend. It doesn't really matter one way or the other. Of course, if you want to be my facebook friend, go ahead, just PM me for my facebook name.

I have a preference for face to face interactions with people (which is lacking greatly from my life other than my close family)

Nicky, I don't answer any quizzes, play any games, join groups, or use many apps, so I don't get those in my email. I do get them when someone replies to something I wrote or new friend requests. I didn't want to join at first, but my cousin talked me into it. It's nice to be able to connect with some old friends from my past and make new friends too!

Susan, I sent you a friend request, but didn't get a response. Maybe you didn't see, so I'll sent you another one. I got your name from one of the other forum members site.

Hugs to you both,
Pat
