All through my childhood and even through my young adult years, I was told over and over again that my lazy eye could not be fixed, but then I happened upon an ophthalmologist who also was a surgeon and he told me fixed them all the time! So, at about 32 years old I had that surgery, (I'm 55 now), and my lazy eye has not been an issue. As stated in a previous message, it now looks as though because of that surgery or the MG it could be causing the misalignment of my eyes. Guess time will tell - I'm still going on the theory that it's only been a little over 4 weeks from my Thymectomy, and I am still recovering. In fact, I've read that it can take up to a year to be symptom free. One can only hope! I am so grateful that at least I can see clearly most of the day, which was the opposite case before this last surgery.
