Wink positive sinking...

I was just sinking (thinking) that quite a few times over the last few years, when things didn't work out as planned, my physicians suggested that I would be much better if I could only be more positive in my thinking (sinking?).

It (obviously) was in no way related to them or what they did (or failed to do).

So, for all of you who are told the same, I developed the positive sinking approach.

what ever happens always be positive about it-not only your illness, which is not responding to treatment, also car accidents, violence, what ever happens, just smile a big smile and wear a pink ribbon and say- I am positive.

In fact, I am quite sure that if those on the titanic would take the positive sinking approach, they could have had a hell of good time (or maybe a good of a hell time?) what ever.

Alice, Don't you know that positive thinking cures everything? Especially if you buy something from the person selling it.

Attitude and gratitude is important, as you well know since you seem to exhibit it over and over, but it's hard to maintain while sick. Chronic illness is not something we MG patients can be positive about 24/7 and it's not easily gotten over because MG is always beating up on us.

I hope you are doing okay.

Annie

Teeth

There is something to be said for positive thinking, but that doesn't mean we should ignore the bad things. It is not good to be blind.

I think relaxation is more important that positive thinking, at least for MG.

If we ignore the bad how are we supposed to make it better.

I've found that sometimes it feels good to admit just how bad I feel, usually it ends up being helpful because it is easy to ignore some things, because I keep hoping I am not as bad as I am. I end up with a realistic view of my health and it is easier to proceed with reality.

Sinking, I like that word for positive thinking when it means we are ignoring the real situation. Sinking = thinking that involves ignoring all the bad and focusing only on the good.
