OOPS maybe I should have posted that separately! I didn't mean to take over your thread, I just got so excited when I saw "plasmapheresis" as the topic because it's been on my mind so much!

It amazes me how each doctor uses such different treatment plans. My symptoms are not very intense right now, yet he wants me to have plasmapheresis. Yet, you are really struggling and the doc is saying IVIG. I too take alot of meds and I absolutely hate it. Where abouts do you live? |

Hi everybody!
I understand iVIg's works by unlocking AC receptor sites cloged by antibodies whereas PLEX works by removing circulating antibodies in the plasma. The effectiveness of each treatment thus depends on the ratio fixed/circulating antibodies which may vary for each individual... Maurice. |
