It seems to me that a disproportionate number of us have tested negative for antibodies, and I'm curious to see what the numbers are here.
Please respond, even if you don't post here. Thank you! |

I am negative. I just officially got my genetic tests back revealing everything else is normal leaving MG as the diagnosis. I don't want to take over your post but I am looking for other opinions as far as a thymectomy...my doc of course continues to say he cannot say for sure it will work since I am seronegative but we both agree it won'tmake it worse. Plus there is the timing. I am in the Army but will now be discharged b/c of MG so it would be wise to do the surgery first since idk where I will end up. It seems the docs at UNC are some of the best so I would want them to do it while I am here. Please, any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you

MuSK positive in a cell based assay (still considered an experimental test and not done routinely). Was negative for AchR (at least 3 times), MuSK (2 times) when tested in the common assays, and also negative for Ryanodine R.

Negative on all blood tests - tested at least 4 times for Musk and ACHr.
Negative SFEMG's - 4 times Positive on ice pack test x 3 1 positive 1 negative Tensilon test. I still believe I have MG, although I have now been diagnosed with Postural orthostatic tachycardia and ehler danlos syndrome. These 2 syndromes do not explain my worsening double vision or unilaterl / bilateral ptosis or my response to mestinon (resolves ptosis). Rach
