I agree that she needs to sleep in order for her body to heal properly. This is frustrating. We'll talk to her Neuro more about it. Thanks! |

I did read where ativan isn't good for MG patients either. Please go in to your PCP, or the doc who is folowing the MG case. This no sleeping can make a condition worse that it already is. The body doesn't do well without proper rest. There is medication that can help, please ask your doctor so she can get the rest she so needs. Don't be afraid to speak up to the doctor, ask for the help. I do wish you all the best, and I hope a better solution can be found. I will keep you in my prayers. ginnie

I use Lunesta. There is a coupon you can print out and get it for free for 12 months!
I have been plagued with insomnia for most of my adult life. When I was doing chemo, IV ativan was used to combat nausea, and I was given a script to use at home for several weeks for nausea as well. It did not make me weaker (of course I was already as weak as a wet noodle.) Sedatives, muscles relaxers and even antibiotics can effect every person with MG differently. There is one certain antibiotic that can pretty much wipe me out completely, yet others here take it with no issues at all. Hope your daughter gets some relief. The Lunesta has truly been a lifesaver for me. |
