Default May I please ask for your "Like" ?

Hello Fellow MG'ers
I found a wonderful Christian Health Center in my city that accepts patients even if they don't have insurance. As a matter of fact the majority of their patients are uninsured. I've set up a FaceBook page for their upcoming fundraiser and am asking everyone to "LIKE" my page. I'm NOT asking for donations from anyone here because I'm in the same boat as many of you are...little money, lots of medical bills! Especially the cost of my Cobra Coverage

I'm just asking for you to like my page which will hopefully bring others to it so they can donate for a worthy cause.

Thinking of others has helped me take my mind off of my own illnesses including MG. I've found another cause that makes me feel good because I'm helping a facility who lovingly helps others who are sick. Maybe even a few with MG.

Please "Like" and "Share"

https://www.facebook.com/#!/LowerLig...erDonationPage

Blessings

Shari

Default Dear Shari

I hope you receive alot of help. I was an artist, and I had no health insurance either. A group of my friends had an auction for my benefit years ago to help with my first spinal fusion. They donated alot of items and all went so I could get my first operation. Do try on face book. There is kindness out there. I was blessed I had help that time, and I am still in contact with many people who participated in helping me. I do wish you all the best Shari. I hope that at some point you will be able to afford some kind of health insurance. It seems there are alot of folks caught in this trap. I sure do know how difficult it can be. I will pray that others have mercy on you, and respond to help you with your medical bills. Lets pray that our country can come up with some new ideas for health care. Pre-existing conditions shoot you out of the insurance pool, or the basic cost is out of reach. We really do need to look at this issue better at a national level. Also please contact the Consumer Advocasy Group it is called out of California. They lobby for health care reform, and may have some ideas for you. I rode the RX express to Canada to purchase less expensive medications in protest because of the no insurance. They sponsored that complete trip for me. They continue to be active to help the insurance problem in this country. I wish you all the best. ginnie

I'm sorry, but why wouldn't we just encourage members to Like the actual page for the Lower Lights Christian Health Center??

http://www.facebook.com/LLCHC?ref=ts

I would prefer members "Like" this page, not someone's personal donation page. Thank you.

I guess I wasn't clear enough as to why I'm asking for people to "like" the donation page I set up FOR Lower Lights Christian Health Center. It's my fundraising page FOR Lower Lights Christian Health Center. I'm a volunteer at LLCHC and every year they have a Fundraiser. All proceeds I raise go DIRECTLY to Lower Lights Christian Health Center and not to me.

I decided to set up a Facebook Page in hopes of reaching others to let them know about the cause. I'm asking for people to go to the Donation Page I set up FOR LLCHC and "like" that page in hopes that others will do the same once they see the page. The more people that like the page, the more traffic comes to my page and maybe some will want to donate to the cause. As I said, it's a fundraising page for LLCHC which is non-profit and not for me. I set it up in hopes to help them.

I'm not asking anyone here for donations. Just for them to spread the word about the page. Everyone can and should "like" LLCHC's page as well, which I already have because it's a wonderful Health Center with wonderful staff and volunteers.

Hope that clears it up. The meaning for the Facebook page is not about me, but to help LLCHC and that's why it has been set up.

If I have done something against the rules then please accept my apologies and delete this thread if you feel the need to do so.
