Default Marihuana / weed / cannabis

What does it do for MG?
I mean, it makes you relaxed but does it make you weak?
Because there are people with mg (a girl on youtube for once) that say using weed has helpt them with there mg.

I really want to try it, medicinally, tea or something.
Tnx

I created a monster.........

I haven't tried it since I have had MG. I am not in a medical marijuana state. I am also interested in the answer to this question. I have read people saying that it helps, but it doesn't seem that it would.

Default Hi Raven

I am not sure what MJ does for MG either. I am not in a legal state. I also believe in a persons right to try this. If you do, please be careful, the laws are so very harsh, and there is no compassion for those that are sick. That is the reason I don't. I can't imagin being in jail, missing the medications I do need to have quality of life. Maybe it isn't worth the try to put yourself at risk. Until our country allows freedom, we are in a kind of police state really. I graduated in 69' and I don't believe it is wrong. Being in custody would be a terrible wrong, and that wouldn't be worth the risk to me. I do care. ginnie

Well, lucky for me it is legal where I live.

I've read some more about it.
I think it may work a bit like this:
MJ can make you more relaxed -> less stress -> good for mg
MJ lessens cramps caused by mestinon -> you can take more mestinon
MJ lessens pain -> pain eats your energy -> you have more energy left
So.... Yeah, but thats just my simple thought

But I think the direct effect on our muscles is relaxation... And that's what worries me, I guess we're "relaxed" enough.
But I still think Im going to try it, Ill keep you informed

someone i know has mg and smokes mj everyday and he says it helps in almost everyway. the physical relaxing of your muscles is a good thing for mg since your immune system is creating chemicals to react with the actylcholine that is created for any muscle use. it helps with any of the gi problems with mestinon. it also regulates your appetite and sleep schedule if ur having problems with prednizone. one of the only downsides is the relative strain it puts on your lungs. i hope this helps

Would it hurt your lungs if you used a vaporizer?

Vaporizers are supposed to be good for several reasons. They allow one to avoid many of the respiratory toxins that are released when the material is burned, and not vaporized. Or so I am told.

I have tried it and it amazes me. It relieves my pain and all discomfort, my vision and what really blows me away is that I have more muscle strength! I can walk where moments before taking it, I could not. I've been in a months long flare (mine last from 3-7 months!), part of which I have to use my hands to move my leg a couple of inches, or to put it on a flat pillow, and after taking it, I am able to move it myself.

It helps the breathlessness, too. Though I'd recommend using a long water pipe or vaporizer so it's easy on the lungs.

Sadly, I live in a state where it's not legal, so I can't take it. It's a shame, because it helps just everything! I was scared to death to try it the times that I did, (I tried it at age 53!), but I was desperate. I researched it out the whazoo, and found it clashes with no meds and basically there's no downside except the whopper of it being illegal.

So, back I go to being on a ton of highly dangerous meds that just aren't working anymore. Blah.
I just hope that someday soon it'll be legal so we all can get some relief!

Use as tea or with a vaporizer. I have no idea if it does anything other than relieve symptoms, but that's not such a bad thing. I've hear that there is an extract of MJ that doesn't make one high--legal drug, used for nerve pain relief. Does anyone know about this?
