Default What do you think

Sometimes I come across stuff like this. People saying to me "well my husband takes 5 mg prednison a day for over 10 years now for his MG, and he's working and all".

Or today, in my mailbox:

Quote:
Just to let you know my brother is 60 today. He's had MG since he was a boy and has gone on to have a very fulfilling life. Out of us 6 siblings I would say he's had the most successful career, he looks after his health and still runs most days, has a wonderful family with 3 fabulous boys - quite annoying actually.
Andy Jones: Where there is a will there is a way as I often tell myself
Scott Baker: That's awesome to hear, my daughter has had MG since 3 years old, is 12 now. Very encouraging to hear of someone that has had it most of their life and is still doing well.
Kim Munro: That's wonderful to hear. Gives others with MG more hope and encouragement. Happy 60th Birthday to your Brother.
I do NOT find this encouraging or nice. I think, well good for him, but I must admit it is kind of hurting me a little, when you say "where there is a will there is a way".
I just don't see the added value of this... But maybe that's just me
