I agree, especially since some of our symptoms are so sporadic, fluctuating and strange. A friend asked if i was still driving (yes, very carefully) which mad me think if i should but i realized i would have no problem passing vision test for driving - the other day i drove with my mom in car (usually i am alone) and she was shocked at how slow (i used to drive pretty fast, zippy) and incredibly cautious. I have to look 10 times before i pull out since i have trouble focusing on moving things.

By the way i dont drive at night anymore because i definitely have More trouble seeing when not brightly lit. I realized over the last sveral years i have purchased bright lights (handheld, neck straps, head lamps, you name it i bought it) which i keep all over to help me see better.

I dont get nauseated but I thought I would share a helpful hint. Despite having worked on computers since early 1980's, and although I am pretty fast typer, I never learned to type without looking at keys and lately have trouble reading key letters. Yesterday I went to michaels craft store and bought bright, bright pink blingy stickers and put them on keys and it seems to be working wonders!! BTW I did try using silver sharpie and writing letters larger on keys but that rubbed off pretty quickly. I also tried buying keyboard with big letters but the keyboard very basic and was not as functional as mine so I took it back

also using a 39" TV as a computer screen helps too!

Does anyone else's muslces almost feel like they are vibrating with weakness- does that even make any sense?? When my symptoms flare, i cant' raise my arms (due to shoulder weakness) and they almost feel like they are shaking with weakness..

Stephc- wow, can't imagine getting lasik twice!!! My vision is so strange, sometimes wearing glasses makes it seem more double (it's like the double is more clear, which is nauseating)!
i know that feeling. My body feels like it is trembling with weakness. In the evening, you can see my eyelids quiver like jello.

For those like me that can't type. Or having trouble typing I recommend the voice activated software Dragon that will type for you. You have to correct minor problems but it gets better the more you use it. You can get it at Walmart or Office Depot, the basic one is all you need for about $75

wow, can't believe how many of yall have similar symptoms.. and yes, the fact that I generally "Look" well makes it hard for others (esp drs) to understand how my body feels and works.. today it was warm here and my face drooped down so badly and vision just got worse too

As far as the driving goes.. yes i don't feel very confident when I drive anymore, as my vision is just so weird, night is definitely worse as well- the double vision is much more obvious with the lights.

Do any of yalls eye muscles feel sore ever? As far as typing goes.. when my symptoms get bad (like right now - 4 weeks out from my last IVIG- the longest time I have gone in a whole year! I have it tomorrow yay).. my fingertips get so floppy.. all of my muscles are weak, and fingertips are so floppy it does make it hard to type. Yall have floppy fingers??

This is all so weird, and yes it seems so hard for my friends to get it.. this forum is a life saver!

Hi whirlwind...

Nausea sometimes but from eyes in combination with too much scrolling/tracking etc on a computer screen and also from using neck muscles to hold head higher up than normal now only occasionally. Some of the other posters attributed that to some kind of motion sickness.....

I have had MG for almost 8 years but experienced this for the first time this past year during what I will call my relapse. I call it googly eyes. Not double vision but they just could not focus, especially late at night or when I was tired.
