Can you take imodium to help with the side effects of mestinon without it killing you?

It would be inconvenient to drop dead..........

Prior to taking mestinon, I had diarrhea all the time. Immodium was my best friend. I never took more than the maximum daily dose. I never left the house without it and took it several times a day, several days a week without any consequences.

Surprisingly, once I started mestinon, I never had another bout of diarrhea. I do not understand why. I always thought my diarrhea was another autoimmune component. I do not understand how it got fixed but I am glad. I am up to 90mg x4 of mestinon and have had no side affects.

So sorry you are having these side affects. MG is exhausting enough. The diarrhea just wipes you out even more.

take care of your self

Hi There! Oooooh YES! Immodium has been my dear friend for almost five years now. The Mestinon caused me to have it alot. My dosage of Mestinon has been reduced now and I deal with the MG symptoms more but, not as much discomfort. I have found that you need to experiment with it and see what works for you. I would recommend that you don't exceed the daily dose of Immodim. Hope this is an encouragment.

I buy the generic brand from walmart, it is very inexpensive. I take the 2 pills at the first bout and it usually works. Try to stay away from foods that aggrevate it too - greasy, too much bran, etc.

Hope you feel better
