Default Could it be mestinon allergy?

I have been on mestinon or 1 1/2 years. About 6 months ago, I started to have a few small spots of a skin rash. It doesn't respond to antibacterial cream or antifungal cream. The doctor said to put hydrocortisone cream on it. It doesn't do much to it. It was just on my right fingers. Now it is on more of my hand and my arm. I also have places on my left hand and arm and on my head. This is not a severe issue, but I am concerned as to whether it could be a mestinon reaction.

Have any of you had allergy to mestinon? If so, what was it like?

Also, what other treatments cause the least side effects? Cellcept? Other?

It might be eczema. When my MG started 2 years ago, I also started with serious eczema on my left foot, it also affected the nails on the left foot. It was confirmed my nail and skin biopsy. It did not respond to over the counter steroid creams. I needed the high dose steroid cream by perscription and it took month to get under control

sorry

Celeste, It might be in your best interest to have your rash, particularly if it is spreading quickly, checked again. I had an experience where a doctor gave me a medication that contained sulfa (I had no known allergies at the time) and it created a rash, and some heavy-duty muscle pain. This was prior to MG. While a severe allergy to Mestinon is rare, anything is possible. It could be something else as well. Keep an eye on it.
