Question Diet and MG

I'm new to Myasthenia Gravis, having been only recently diagnosed, and am wondering if there are beneficial foods to help with the healing process and if there are foods that should be avoided. What have members of this Forum found to be most helpful ?

Thanks.

Hi!! Thanks, great question. I stay with all-organic. Make sure it is Certified Organic, because there are many so-called "organic" certifications or "100% Natural" or "Organic Ingredients," etc (you get the point). Purity in what is being put in your body with MG and MS (I am one of the rare dual-diagnosis people, extremely rare). But the purest and least-modified nutrients or fun stuff (drinks or desserts, etc.) put in the body with MG, the better.

I tried diets, but never really noticed any difference. Strict ones too, like 6 weeks no this or that.

I know there are others who know much more about this, but for me my diet is best when: high protein (vegetable though, I feel best on lots of legumes) and I take quite a high fat level because I tend lose weight if I don't.
Because of medication I also take low carbs, skip anything that is annoying for my stomach.

More important for me by the way, is the way it's served. Never too cold or to warm, especially the last one can trigger weakness. Also, because I have trouble chewing and swallowing, I make sure it's not to hard or difficult.

Hope other's can be of more use, but this is my diet in a nutshell
