Default Worried about Blood Sugar and Prednisone

Recently started a high dose of Prednisone to try to get my MG under control. The doctor put me on 60mg to start, now I am down to 50 and hope to continue very slowly downward. He mentioned all the side effects -- one of them being sugar. Since my husband monitors his Blood Sugar, I started doing the same. The morning reading is usually under 100, centering around 80. The other reading I am taking is two hours after dinner and most often it is in the 220 or 230 range. I plan to take this data to my doctor. I would be interested in hearing others advice. (I am not fit, not slim, not young, and not doing well enough for regular exercise yet).

Another couple of tests they may do are A1C and Insulin. Those scores "look" good but I'm not a Doctor. Good plan to monitor. Just not being active should have your doc want to monitor anyway.

Generally you want a fasting (first morning) score under 100. I'm not sure on 2 hours after a meal, but I believe the 220 is a bit high. I believe they want to see it under 180, but that's what my Doc told me. I could be wrong.
