Default getting much worse.

My husband's symptoms are getting worse.
Today for the first time his legs just gave out under him and he couldn't get up. He is currently taking both Mestinon 60mg and Prednisone 5mg four times a day.
What really has us worried is that nothing makes a difference anymore. He is constantly exhausted. His eyes feel heavy but they don't droop the way they used to when this first started. he has absolutely zero energy and is also very depressed.
He takes the medicine but feels no better even for a short while. He naps most of the day but wakes feeling just as tired as before. Could it be that he actually has something else? A lot of the posts say MG is hard to diagnose yet he was diagnosed on his first neuro visit.
