I guess this has gotten off-topic. Sorry, Dottie!
All specialty neuros know each other; not only in one state but across the country. I began with a neuro who was quite arrogant and, for whatever reason, had already made his mind up about me before he met me. I got blacklisted from there (allegedly!). He and another neuro began talking to my other doctors too. I had an appt. with a doctor who was not a neuro who began the conversation like yours did: "I like Dr. so-and-so and Dr. Whatever." He had no reason to even bring them up. It was one big wake-up call.
Blacklisting is real and if a doctor decides he doesn't like you or knows he screwed up, he will do just about anything to keep from being sued. Even if you have absolutely no intention of doing that!
I'm sorry you had to go through that too, Becky.
