The most common drug used is clotrimazole liquid. (You might have to have this special ordered, since commonly they don't sell it on the shelf anymore). Use it once a day on clean dry skin for about a week. Some people use RX selsun lotion (it provides sulfur, which kills the fungus, but that may be harsh on the face). Another fungal candidate is Candida. This may become common if you take immune suppressing drugs, or are also diabetic. Typically herpes rashes go away within 10 days, unless the immune system is wonkey. Herpes sores may be crusty. The fungal type don't get crusty. There is another thing it could be...but your doctor would have noticed it: impetigo. This is a skin staph infection, and if you have that dreaded mrsa exposure, you need to be aggressive with it. Clean the area with hydrogen peroxide and try bacitracin ointment. If it clears up some, keep it up. I'd get it cultured to be sure. Around the nose is normally where it shows up.

LOL Becky,
While I may be your source and have something similar I owe a huge Thank You to MrsD who thought about the viral aspect. She helped me tremendously and is one smart cookie! Thanks Mrsd! ![]() Quote:

Thanks for this! I picked up the cream the other day and have started using it. I figured it couldn't get any worse so I may as well try something while waiting a week to get in to see my GP. It's early days but things seem to be improving slightly! You may have cured me after a long 8 months of looking like rudolf!

I also want to post my thanks to Mrsd on the lead for this viral condition.
She has been wonderful with information about nutrition and suplements that can help and may be necessary to help control this, so I can keep my MG in control. Hat's off to you Mrsd - you are a wealth of information!!!

Mary,
Your son just turned 30 I noticed in another post! Isn't it awful when that happens? They'll always be our babies, though, huh! Hope you like your new cut - I got one too. Not what I asked for.....but it's a good cut, easy to work with, and cooler. I hope you're doing a little better. Sorry I have been here much, but with starting back to work, I don't have time or energy too often. Speaking of work, gotta run. I just looked at the clock on the confuser! Take care and I'll talk to you soon! ![]()
