Default Power Port Update.

Good afternoon/morning everyone, I just got back from the hospital where they placed an internal "Power Port" into my right chest wall. No more needle pricks {normally have a min of 4 when having anything done} Heck the poor nurse tried to start my IV and I told here not to go into my hand and sure enough it blew, I mean golf ball size..LOL, after a few tries she got one in my arm. Erin, you should have NO fear when you get yours {if this is what you will get} I was put to sleep for the procedure and it took about half an hour. Thank fully they shot the area with a numbing agent so it won't hurt for about 3 hours after surgery... med is wearing off so off to bed for me no remember Erin, it was not bad. I would have done this months ago if I knew it was so simple.

Hope all is having a strong and happy day

Hey Joanmarie,

I am so glad it went so well! I'm sure you're glad that's behind you. Rest and take care.

Hugs,
Pat

Heart Hi Joanmarie!

Hey sweetie! I am so happy for you! No more sticks! YAY! What a blessing!

Are you going to have IV BIG or the other with the port?

Just think, you could be BACK in remission BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!

Try and relax and let others take care of you - you deserve it!

Love,
Erin

So glad everything went well for you. What a relief that they can 'tap' in effortlessly whenever necessary!
