Maybe...maybe not. And I don't hear a reason not to do the neurodiagnostics right now. Some partial thickness tears do okay with just therapy. There must have been something about your exam that your doc felt it was more of a minor tear to not order an MRI sooner than 7 months. Had a full thickness tear been intially suspected, I am sure an MRI would have (or should have) been done much sooner as the tendon retracts, worsening outcome with late surgical intervention. Your situation kinda is what it is, and while your surgeon may have his own time frame that he is looking at, you must be mindfull of what you think is going on and take the reigns and drive otherwise you are the only one who will experience the final results! If it doesn't sound right, it probably isn't....
