I am particularly interested in the description of muscle wasting and the fact you mention the bone sticking out in your back. . . Has your doctor looked at and felt your scapula? If it is sticking out, that would be known as winging. A winging scapula with joint clicking, tingling and twitches could be caused by something called Neuralgic Amyotrophy. The “amyotrophy” is the part of the name that accounts for muscle wasting. Generally, this is more common to just impact shoulders, but it can hit all plexus sites which would involve your legs, lower back, shoulders and possibly your ability to swallow and in more rare instances, your breathing. Do you have any pain? Was there pain at an earlier time? In general, there is pain at least of some sort with Neuralgic Amyotrophy, but it is not a requirement for that diagnosis.
