I just got back from the doctor myself. I have been running a high CPK for about 4 months with no ill effects - until last week. I developed progressive muscle pain and stiffness in the legs, hips and arms. My doctor suspects myositis. I have to go for a muscle biopsy for diagnosis. It seems the treatment is steroids which will also help my MS but wreck havok with my blood sugar.

Oh well, this too will pass.

Update on test.

The NCV test showed to be a little different in the arm with the ulnar problem, but all the other tests were normal.

With that said. Is it possible to stop worrying about ALS?

I went to the Neurologist again today who told me that I deffinetly did not have ALS

He did say it could be about a thousand other things however, and the most likely case was that it is some kind of myopathy that is related to the acute virus I suffered from weeks ago.

He did encourage me to have my thyroid tested because of the issues, and my anxiety, and then was very patient with me.

That feels pretty good, even though my arms don't necessarily agree!
