Default OK, like is sports? Just don't try too hard at first.

Go with a kind of 'interval training' philosophy for the duration?
THIS is a time when turtles win the races after a time? Go slow and steady.
Hang in there, keep your patience under reins and work hard albeit slowly? You will ultimately come out of this super good.
Know? That at times? It really DOES feel GOOD to thunk your head against a wall? Feels SOOO good when ya stop? But, for you, please be cautious?
It sounds as if you have a very bright mind, and believe me, those concussions can really hurt you! A good mind is a terrible thing to lose! As long as we each have our minds and mobility? We are blessed and need to use our blessings such as they are to the fullest!
While you are likely itching to move? Follow Docs' advices! To the letter. Get tested, be careful until you get an all-clear, please.
Heed warnings, and be careful=you are now to assume you are fragile glass, untill other notifications. Got that!
's heaps of hope and simply, I hope, get better and on with things! It just mite take a tad more time than you'd like? But, the options aren't acceptable..

Wanted to add some thanks for the other thoughts on Speech therapy.

I think you gave me a reason Derrick needs private or outside the
school speech therapy.

I know it's hard to be patient - but you do seem to be making some real progress.

If you want, let us know how the neuro-psych report goes.

Take Care

well i went to the neuro yesterday and got the results from my test. Pretty much what i expected i have trouble with memory concentration and one other thing....theres the memory.... she also thinks i have anxiety i think thats not right. Im already on some medication for depression which ive been on for about a week now (the other kind i tried made me extremely naseous) would that help with anxiety at all? but another person im seeing said the results were encouraging and im starting on speech therapy soon. I might even start going back to school a little each day im actually kinda excited for it its been almost 6 weeks. oh i remember the other one its speed im not thinking as fast as i should be. so overall it was some pretty good news.

Thanks for sharing with us. We do worry about ya.

You've been a good patient. Just a little while longer. Those 6 weeks are 6 weeks behind you; 6 weeks closer to recovery.

I'm glad you're excited about going back to school. I know your teammates, friends and teachers miss U a lot.

Youth is on your side. You'll bounce back pretty good. You can make up the lost time.

Take this time to reflect on how things are going in your life. Any plans for a future vocation? travel? money? family goals?

You're well cared for, so I'm sure your parents are super.

These journeys teach us a lot about ourselves and others, about life.

It still will take time to heal... you NEED to rest...

Yes, you'll get better. It just takes time to heal. Time... time... time... Now, don't give yourself another concussion. It'll be ok. You'll get to make up for this lost time.

Use this time to maybe learn mediation/yoga or read things you never really had time for before. It's a whole 'nother world out there in a good book. I always learn something by reading... or I guess you could download books and listen to it with them earbuds. There's lots of books on some of the greatest athletes. I love the Ty Cobb movie myself - MR. BASEBALL.
