Welcome to NT

So sorry hubby is having so much pain to deal with. It's hard on both of you.

Here's our neuropathy link:

There are several different causes for neuropathy. Can you share a little more details about his specific diagnosis?

Take your time and look around. There's tons of info and support here.

i'm wondering if you've told his dr. maybe the med can be changed. i used to take neurontin and switched to lyrica. it's more expensive but it worked better for me.

i hope your husband's dr is responsive to his situation. if he's blowing him off i'd go see someone else. sometimes that happens. justing letting someone suffer really bugs me.

how about his primary care dr?
and it may help us to help you if we know what his diagnosis is.

If you can get a diagnosis for the cause, that will be of help - I am fortunate enough to have one for my own severe ongoing pain, and knowing its cause is of some help, even knowing it is incurable. Because at least I can put a name to it when others ask, and because any knowledge is good to have.

I have been through several psychological stages since it happened to me - I won't attempt to describe them because I am sure everyone's path is different, and in any case it has often been three steps forward and two back. I have a few ways of coping now, some I found for myself and some arose from thoughts expressed by people on this forum. My best wishes and prayers to your husband in his trial.
