Smile Hello

I joined a while ago but never felt comfortable enough to introduce myself. I am melody-45yrs old, single with 8 kids,3 still at home.i was diagnosed withleft TLE last Nov.I am on my 3rd med which is helping-Lyrica.My doc is out of Cleveland Clinic-last June I had a VEEG which was no help.I just struggle daily with time losses and hallucinations and try to keep my babies and myself safe and happy.I have been on employer disability for over a year now and had an atty file for SSI last January-havent heard anything. In my fight to keep my disability coming regularly,my house has gone into foreclosure,I have a free atty helping me with that also.I am completely alone with my kids-no family-I deal with my meds and TLE and depression by myself-took celexa-didnt help-trying to get appt with a psychiatrist, but theres a 3 month wait.Anyways,Thank You All for listening and your posts;they have made a huge difference.

Hi

Share only what and when you want. We are here to listen and give you support.

Bless you for your humble post. You certainly have a lot on your plate. Reality stinks sometimes. It won't always be this way. Things will get figured out somehow, one day at a time.

I'm not sure what TLE is... left extremity?

Children are blessings. Having 8, I'm sure you know that. Sometimes bliss; sometimes it's bitter/sweet. Still blessed to be alive, give life, and live.

I assume you have housing right now for you and the three little ones. A mother makes a house a home. In the walls of your confines, I'm sure it feels like "HOME SWEET HOME."

There are lots of help/options for drugs these days if you can't afford them or health ins. Not sure what meds you need. It may also depend on where you're located on the programs being offered through your state.

Hang in there. You do have reasons to be depressed. I understand. Take it one day at a time.

What are your most pressing issues right now? Maybe we all can give you some ideas and pointers to help you a little bit. More heads the better. We're a pretty resourceful group.

Take care...

Smile Welcome!!!

Hello Mel and WELCOME to our little corner of the world.

I understand the struggles with depression and having to wait to get into see a psychiatrist. Please if things get bad... call the office and let them know you really need to see the Doc immediately!!

In my experience they always have room to "squeeze" someone in, in an emergency.

Please feel free to roam around and join in anywhere!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.. someone will always be around shortly to help in any way that we can. Also please feel free to help others where you can.

I hope to see you around the boards.

Abbie

Hello Mel, and welcome to NT! We're so glad you found us!

I'm so sorry you are having to shoulder so many things at once. Sometimes you can find a little peace by posting on the forums, or just reading what others have posted.

Here is a link to the Depression forum, which may be a good place to start.
