Red face lucky22

Hi, I am 33 years old and was diagnosed with RSD/CRPS in November 2008. My doctor was very optimistic that we would be able to "treat and beat" it and hopefully get me back to normal. Well, that hasn't been the case. Here we are, a year later, and we're still treating it. The pain is just as severe today as it was then and sometimes I think it's even worse. It's only been in the last couple of months that I have been doing alot of reading on the internet about RSD that I have come to find out that it is incurable. If i'm lucky, one day, it might go into remission, but then it would likely flare up from time to time still. I had no idea what I was facing when I was diagnosed a year ago.

Hello and Welcome to NeuroTalk, Lucky22!

I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with RSD! I've had RSD since I was 12 years old (am now 14) in my left leg and both arms so understand just how hard and painful it is to cope with.

I see that Alffe has directed you to the RSD forum ... hope to see you there soon. There's many great people there who i'm sure will try and help in anyway they possibly can.

If you want to talk, know that I am here for you.

You're in my thoughts.

Alison.

Welcome, I am new here as well and have found help for my issues already in just 2 days.

The best knowledge I feel comes from people affected by the diseases we share.

Read all over the place in here ... I have learned a lot.
