Default Another newbie

Hi,
Two months ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, these past 3 weeks I have had unbelievable pain in my left thigh.
I can only describe it as electrical shocks that radiate from my hip area down to my knee.
My Diabetic Doctor prescribed Vitamin B1,6 and 12 injections, Lornoxicam, Omeprazole and Diclofenic cream.
Also an appointment with a neurologist who sent me for a CT Scan.
Tonight the results of the scan proved negative, no trapped nerves or problems with my spine and the specialist stated he could not help me so its back to the Diabetic Dr.
I am aware of Diabetic Neuropathy but what can I do to help the symptoms and pain.
I will be honest I have never had such pain in all of my 58yrs before.
