Default Hello Everyone

Hey,

I was injured a few years ago and I have problems mostly with my feet. I have now developed a neuropathy and it seems to be traveling from my feet into my arms and hands. Kind of alone in this and don't know what to expect. Here for guidance and support and hopefully to make a friend or two.

Thanks

Default Welcome Facedone

I'm sorry about your injury and neuropathy you are facing......no fun

I see you've found your way to the PN forum, which is FULL of information that surpasses any 'google search' IMO..... There is a sub-forum directly under the PN forum which has been compiled by very devoted folks here, who have made it easy for us to have the most pertinent information all in one place to be able to understand neuropathy, many causes, ways to combat the pain.......it's awesome!

Also, since your condition seems to be 'spreading', you may want to check out the RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy aka CRPS - Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome) here is the direct link to get you there.....

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum21.html

It, too is a very active forum here at NT. If you describe your pain in more detail, it might make it easier to figure out which catagory you may be falling into......PN and RSD are so similar in alot of ways.....RSD usually does develop after there has been an injury, but in either case, it's a tedious process of elimination in trying to determine exactly what is going on....

Sometimes it can be hard to find a Dr who is familiar with this type of pain condition....
But at least here, you'll have plenty of support as you try to gain more insight into what may be going on with you......

Hope to have you stick around so we can get to know more about you.
It's like one big 'happy' (despite our pain ) family here.....

Caring
Rae

...pardon my 'mis-spell of your 'handle', I called you FACEdone, instead of 'Fadedone'

Hi

This is a great place to find support and caring people. You can lean on us.

It is hard to get answers sometimes. I've found if I have a general understanding, I can manage it. I hope you find some answers here that will help you cope with your neuropathies.

Take care and see ya around the board

hello and welcome,

NT is a great place to find info and support.
look around the communities and forums. i know you'll find the right spot.

have you asked your pcp, or neuro what they recommend?
some meds are effective for neuropathic pain.
