Default RSD Help

Hello
I am a new member. I have a 15 yr old daughter that has had RSD for 2 yrs.
I am not having any luck in finding her a doctor that can help her with the pain. We did 11 weeks of pt-ot last yr at Dupont Hospital, which helped her to move her arm again but the pain is still the same. I am tired of doctors telling me that they can't do anymore. If anyone knows of a good RSD doctor that is understanding and is kind, i would appreciate it!.We live in New Jersey. Thank you....ashleysmom

Default Hi Ashleysmom...

I am so sorry that your daughter is going through this difficult experience. I'm from VA myself, so I can't recommend anyone directly. But I have a lot of experience with doctors. I've seen twenty-six myself so far. The best thing I ever found that worked for me was listing a healthcare/health-maintenance organization called Patient First as my primary service provider. The one that I go to has about a dozen doctors on staff, and you can ask for any one of them by name. I went through a bunch before I finally found the one that seemed right for me, and I've been using him for four years now.

I hope you find a good doctor for your daughter. Having someone who is caring and supportive to both of you would do wonders.

Very Best Wishes,
Idealist

Default Verterbrae

Hi,

I am a new member and am wondering if any of you out there have ever had fractured vertabrae? I have had three due to osteoporosis

I am taking boniva for the osterporosis and naproxin and flexeril for the pain. I broke the 3 several times and they did verterplasty on me. That is where they go in with a cement type of substance so they won't merge with the others.

I am in constant pain. I can't even bend over. Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks
