Default lamenectomy w/fusion

Hello, my name is Pat and I am new to the forum but would like to share my
experiences of having spinal surgery. I had a lamenectomy with fusion from
C2 thu C7 on October 18 2010.I can tell you that it was the most excruciating
pain ever for the first week. The pain has now left me and I am doing pretty
well, they placed (16) titanium screws in my neck and I walk around w/my head
down. The doctors prescribed a "Boner Stimulator" to increase the bone grouth.
Has anyone out there had any experience with this?
thanks
Pat

What in the heck are they going to do about you walking with your head down??? That isn't NORMAL !!! You'll end up permanently like that. You'll also end up with humped shoulders, more than likely.

I would go to another doctor - a Neurosurgeon - and get another opinion and see if he thinks what you had done was CORRECT. My guess is NO.
That seems like very SHODDY surgery to me. I've never heard of such a thing.

Please get a referral to another surgeon - you need to see someone else! Best of luck and God bless. Hugs, Lee
