Default hello, im new here

im sue, 44 female, ca..i moved back in with my 85yr old father over a year ago, and while i got his house and his health back in shape, mine has suffered greatly. im not a person to be sick, i dont like pain killers, just dont understand how my body can go so fast!! i recently had to leave here because i was sooo exausted, my ankles and feet were so swollen, i was a mess. in the five days i was gone, i look and feel tons better, but im nowhere near where i should be..
i dont know. my mom had weird health problems for years, we all thought the things she say were nutty, my dad would tell her it all in her head until she belived it! she had dementia real bad, was hospitolized for more than a few years. but now, i keep gettings these deja vus, the stuff she would say, im kind of going through now.. i dont want to be paranoid, but im not an idiot either. i know my dad wants/needs me here, but just what extent he will go to to keep me here is scaring me... i dont know, ill keep this kind of short for now, i want to look around here a bit more.

Smile Hello and Welcome!

Hi Sue and WELCOME to Neurotalk!!

I'm sorry to hear of your struggles.

I'm no expert but have you considered there may be something in your father's house that you are allergic to? (and maybe your mother was)

The reason I ask is a friend of mine's mother has been sick for years... I've known her for about 30yrs and she's always been in and out of the doctor's office.

Recently, it was discovered that the house has had hidden mold in the attic and walls... the roof had apparently had a small leak and water had been seeping in for years. Also, they discovered that even though the house appeared to be clean there is a great deal of dust... she is allergic to the dust and the mold.

I wish you the best....

Abbie

yes, abaski, thats exactly what i wa thinking, but after i pee;ed the wallpaper and painted in every room, changed the carpet, hypo alergenic beddings, i still have problems.. im talking sores on my arms and chest, my right ankle and neck swelling, ive had 3 biospys, blood tests , cultures done, the last biops said bug bites.. ok. we had the house tented. the problem with that was they tented for termits and subterainian termits, but all the other bugs are thriving on termits carcasses!! its so gross to look in the window sills and see dead bug parts, especially when i vacumn 2-3 times a week...lol.
this house was in serious disrepair when i got back here, this is the house i grew up in , by the way, but i havent lived here for 20+years.
slowly but surely im going to figure out whats wrong with me, im not gonna be sick! im so horrible if im stuck in bed and cant walk, thats so not an option.
i do pretty well as superwoman, ive rearranged furniture i shouldnt have been able to lift, im very strong.. and to be weak at any time makes me nuts!
i went to a beautiful hotel on shell beach recently and that did so much good, only problem is i cant afford a 5 star resort for very long, ya know?
im lucky my dads not 'bad' for 85, in fact he still drives. ( i do keep an eye on him, as long as hes doing ok, i say let him!) so i can leave for a week or two and him not be in danger, but when i get back, the house is so beyond trashed it almost isnt worth leaving.. this house is like 2,200 sq ft, its huge!! i hate to see a beautiful house get run down.i find beauty in the smallest things, i firmly belive if you take good care of your things, you'll get better things.. hehe..

all your cosmetics would not have reached a mold problem....perhaps the house needs to be gutted/torn down and rebuilt?
