Default is it safe to take IGF-1, new member today, hi!
I currently have a brain tumor benign located inmy pertuitary gland i have mri's every year and there as been no change for five years. can i take this hormone replacement. I am curently dieting for a body building competition and i would like this for the age appearance of my skin and to eat away at unecessary fatty diposits?

Anyone with a pituitary adenoma should be under a doctor's care and since
these tumors secrete various levels of hormones that differ from patient to
patient, advice for supplements should be directed to your doctor. Some adenomas actually stimulate IGF-1 secretion.

IGF-1 typically falls with age. Its significance is still controversial.
