Hi Everyone - I'm a radiologist that specializes in both neuro and orthopedic medical imaging, including MRI, CT, xray, etc.

I'm pretty busy, but I really enjoy helping people better understand the radiology side of things, since it's such an important part of diagnosis and treatment. As a radiologist, we are in the background so much, I like to put a personal touch to radiology - and I miss dealing with real people since my interaction is mostly with other docs.

Thank you for offering help. I have had questions from my Intra articular MRI that the surgeons are not answering. What does it mean to have a small amount of bony edema in the ulnar volar aspect of the triquetrum, cartilage thinning at the intersection of the lunate, triquetrum, capitate, and hamate in the mid carpal row, and a small tear of the proximal surface of the luntriquetral ligament, and a capsular injury in the right wrist. I also have a cyst in the lunate bone measuring 7 x 5 mm. The pain, however, is not at the lunate bone area, but at the pisiform bone and below. One surgeon said there is nothing to do and another said take out the cyst. I am struggling with what to do since I have so much pain. I have been diagnosed with CRPS 1.5 years after these findings.

Thank you for offering help to us. Medical descriptions are so hard to understand. I have had questions about my Intra articular MRI done about a year and a half ago. I do not have pain at the lunate. I do have a lot of pain at the pisiform and below. I went to one surgeon that said there is nothing to do. Another surgeon said take out the cyst. Would the pain near the pisiform have to do with the cyst, tear, bony edema, or cartilage thinning. That is the million dollar question, and the confusion that I have, on how to fix it. Now I have recently been diagnosted with CRPS.
It is hard to know what to do, if anything.......... Thank you, and now maybe I can let it go
