I too went through horrible withdrawal from Lyrica. It was worse than the opiate withdrawal I experienced. I tried Lyrica due to it being a non narcotic, big mistake. Side effects were bad enough, which is why I chose to stop.
I had complete agitation, sweating, hot/cold spells, insomnia, muscle spasms all over, it was horrible. Thankfully though it only lasted 4-5 days, and all this from only 100mg a day. My wife could not believe what I was going through, after many years on powerful opiates due to back to back surgeries, the withdrawal from those was a walk in the park in comparison.
I wish the side effects and subsequent withdraw symptoms were explained in the beginning, I may have decided otherwise.
Today med free, thanks to a Medtronic spinal cord stimulator back in 2008.
Hope this helps someone.
