Default Hi From Ireland

Hi everyone,

I am a trigeminal sufferer now for about 17 to 18 years, and I am not even 50 yet, I know others that have suffered with the condition and not as well able to cope with the pain.
In a way although it is terrible to have the condition at all, I think I am blessed in some small way I got it when I was younger.
I know that might sound crazy to some, but personally I think being stronger and in your youth so to speak helped me survive this condition.
I really do pity anyone starting out with this now, it is a tough condition to adapt to, and no matter how much you try to explain to people what it feels like, you get that feeling it is falling on deaf ears.
That is why forums like these are so important, you might not have a clue who you are talking to, but one thing is for sure, they know what you are going through. Having people who understand, I think is comforting in a small way. Even by going onto a forum and writing a load of crap like I am, It creates a diversion. A welcome diversion believe me.
So in the outset before I even start talking to anyone may I say
Thank you for being that diversion, you have helped me more than you will ever know. Mahatma Gandhi said:
As long as you derive inner help and comfort from anything, keep it.
It's up to you to find what gives that comfort you.

regards

chris

Smile Hello, my Irish cousin!

Well, Chris, you are indeed a most welcome addition to this group. Maybe one of the Administrator types will just move your intro from here over to the Trigeminal Neuralgia Forum, or if not here's the link:

I certainly understand what you mean by diversion. We divert a whole lot around here. Please join us in our sport any ol' time !
