Been through absolute hell since coming to Tenn (as a result of Countrywide mortgage crisis and losing home to forced short sale). All of the docs I've seen here in Tenn claim to know about RSD but they don't KNOW RSD. Have been treated like a criminal addict. One ortho doc told me just to go ahead and get a motorized wheelchair (and had the nerve to say Merry Christmas when I left). Was previously treated in Md (since 1998), sorry I ever left, but no one would provide any assistance in the housing crisis.
There is absolutely no advocacy, no needed referrals, and no rocking the boat- either comply or get reported to officials. every doctors' office has notices of how they can report us to the police, take us off meds and let us go into withdrawal. This has been an absolute nightmare, want to leave but don't know where else to go. |

Almost sounds like we should make a list of injured/disabled friendly states...or state that are not.
Another thing to check on before we make a move... ![]()

Welcome to NT!
I'm so sorry for these frustrations you are faced with! Nothing makes me more angry than knowing there are people out there who don't get adequate pain relief all because of this 'over-the-top' DEA stuff. They've taken it to ridiculous levels. The RSD forum here is very active and everyone there can relate to what you are dealing with. There is alot of great stuff over there. Here's the link to get you there: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fo...aysprune=&f=21 Try to hang in there. Eventually you'll end up with a healthcare professional who sees this for what it is. Hopefully our code of ethics hasn't completely been depleated. My heart goes out to you ![]() Caring Rae |

I knew Tenn had some definite deficiencies, but no clue how bad it is. SO horrid for so many folks now & growing daily.
My heart aches for you. ![]() ![]() |
