Default Scared RN!

Hi,there I am an nurse so I thought I was pretty calm about everything.Wrong LOL!

For the past several weeks, a few times a week my 6 year old son has seizures while in bed (he has a history of night terrors but this is very different). I have a seizure disorder and took lamictal while I was pregnant. He seems confused and tired after the event with no memory.

I was very sad to think that he might have a seizure disorder, but hopeful since I have lived a normal life (and some relatives in the same boat).

At the EEG this morning I was asked if my son has ever had a cardiac workup(he hasn't). The tech mentioned several dysrthmias present during hyperventilation and as he was dozing off.

I am absolutely terrified. Does anyone has any experience or knowledge or such a thing? Any input is appreciated. I'm sure a workup will continue to follow, but with the holidays it may be weeks before I hear anything.

Thanks for your help!
