Default Hello!

Hello everyone on NeuroTalk! I found this site looking for some kind of forum about hydrocephalus and for people with VP shunts. I am now 25 and was diagnosed with hydrocephalus when I was 23 and had a VP shunt placed just 10 days later. I only suffered from symptoms caused by the hydrocephalus about four months before I had my shunt placed. Everything happened very quickly, so my family and I never really had a chance to research and educate ourselves about the condition and about shunts. I know that my condition is very rare in my age group, but my shunt has been functioning well since it was placed. I only have a few small complaints that I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing...also, my doctors were unable to find a cause for the hydrocephalus...so I have no clue why this all happened to me. Anyone else with this experience??? Glad to find a place to ask all these questions and try to find some answers through everyone else's experiences!

Thanks so much!
Be well!

-Eileen
