Hi everyone!
I'm a newly diagnosed Trigeminal Neuralgia patient (I think I am Atypical TN). I just wanted to touch base with other people with TN and try and get my head around the whole thing ![]() I have had a constant headache for almost 2 weeks now which nothing seems to touch, have had excrutiating TN attacks in my left maxillary sinus which I ended up in the emergency room with (after being told at a private clinic it was a migraine -grr!) and luckily saw a doctor who knew TN when she saw it. Have been on Tegretol for nearly 2 weeks, it has lessened the severity and the frequency of the attacks however I still have that headache as well as sometimes ear ache and jaw ache too. I can but hope that maybe increasing the Tegretol will eventually take that away (though it taking away attacks is brilliant) ![]() Today I found it painful to wash my hair and to wear glasses (luckily I can see okay without them), also to put eyeliner on (can't live without that!). Though I have seen online already many people who can do far less than that so I guess I am lucky in some respects! Would love to hear from other TN patients. |
