What Happened: On November 29, 2010, I was walking across the street and was hit by a light rail commuter train. Result was a severe traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures (skull, pelvis, ribs). Total hospital stay was two months, one in ICU followed by an additional month in neuro-rehab. Upon hospital discharge, neurological testing revealed deficits in short term memory, executive functioning, and spatial recognition.

Today: Neuropsychological examination five months post-accident indicated a return to normal cognitive functioning, and I returned to work approximately 6 months after the accident. I am grateful to be alive and am looking forward to enjoying the rest of my life.

Hi, new member here. Hoping to fine any others who experienced a constant 24/7 headache. More of a buzzing and ringing in my head. Worse at night and in am, probably because I am more aware of it. Dr. put me on Pamelor, but makes me feel dizzy and drugged. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Neuro Talk. There is good information here, and lots of people to listen. sorry you are getting such headaches. I didn't look up the medication you are getting, but I do know there are lots of things that can be tried, that may not give you such a bad reaction. Have you been seeing your primary care physician for this? If he can't help, maybe ask for a referral to a specialist. My neighbor gets migranes, and goes to a neruologist. Please feel free to join in on any conversation here. Hope you get the help you need. ginnie
