Default Waiting to talk to Psychiatrist

Hello,
I stumbled across temporal lobe epilepsy by accident when I noticed my dog was triggered by blinking lights. I knew nothng about it, I realized I have been having seizures myself. I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 disorder 12yrs ago. Just recently (2 months)I stopped all my meds with Dr. approval and am doing well. I have had auras where I see letters it's hard to explain and also have hereditary vasal vagal syndrome. The aura's with the letters are newer and with no migraine and a feeling of "crawling inside". I think my psych meds were triggering them. My last episode I fainted, vomitted and words weren't coming out of my mouth correctly. I am extremely upset about this revelation and anxious to see a neurologist and will see my Psychiatrist Mon. I am very scared right now and having a lot of mixed emotions.

Wink Nice to meet you!!

Sara,

Hello and welcome each of you to NeuroTalk. Happy to see you have come to be with us. Here are a great number of dear friends to listen when you are in need of ears. Please let us know how we can help you out. You will find out we are supportive and relaxing place.

There are great number of things to look out for. I myself have epilepsy, which started by when I was ten. I would make a reservation with an Epileptologist, who majors in epilepsy. Start taking Vitamin B12 1000 mcg. once a day for this could assist you. Avoid bright light like in a theater popping out at you eyes, just shut them it occurs. Also, Click on the forum here, there are a good number of people to answer questions.

Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
