Hello,
I stumbled across temporal lobe epilepsy by accident when I noticed my dog was triggered by blinking lights. I knew nothng about it, I realized I have been having seizures myself. I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 disorder 12yrs ago. Just recently (2 months)I stopped all my meds with Dr. approval and am doing well. I have had auras where I see letters it's hard to explain and also have hereditary vasal vagal syndrome. The aura's with the letters are newer and with no migraine and a feeling of "crawling inside". I think my psych meds were triggering them. My last episode I fainted, vomitted and words weren't coming out of my mouth correctly. I am extremely upset about this revelation and anxious to see a neurologist and will see my Psychiatrist Mon. I am very scared right now and having a lot of mixed emotions. Sara |

Sara,
![]() There are great number of things to look out for. I myself have epilepsy, which started by when I was ten. I would make a reservation with an Epileptologist, who majors in epilepsy. Start taking Vitamin B12 1000 mcg. once a day for this could assist you. Avoid bright light like in a theater popping out at you eyes, just shut them it occurs. Also, Click on the forum here, there are a good number of people to answer questions. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum11.html Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around. My thoughts and prayers are with you. ![]() Darlene ![]()
