Default Myelopthy

This is what I diagnosed with. The event 2 years ago was disc rupture which sent a piece of a thorax disc into the spinal chord. I walked around with the aftermath for 3 months, increasingly bothered by the feeling my nerves in the feet, left lower leg, and right lower and upper leg. MRI, diagnosis, visit with two neurologists who insisted I had peripheral neuropathy. New event 4 months ago, while chopping firewood (oak). Almost instantly, the symptoms of myelopathy reappeared, making me realize how the last two years had made the initial bout of myelopathy slowly but surely better and getting reminded of the onset of the first bout.
The surgeon who did the fusion of the vertebrae says I should do anything I liked. The neurologistys say I should take medicine controlling seizures and such.
In practice, I go with the surgeon.
Maybe someone shares my predicament and would share experiences.

Hi there, and welcome to the community! You certainly have been through a lot. You came to a good place, and there will probably be someone along who's in the same boat--be patient, it's a little slow sometimes on the weekend!

If you haven't found our forum specific to spinal issues, here's the link:
