Hi,
I am a recent tbi patient (2 wks), adjusting to recovery. I am a runner and rock climber and emplyed as a nurse, it is very difficult to watch the summer go by from my bed. I am very sensitive to meds. Have celiacs, and was started on gabapentin 100mg with phenergan suppos for severe dizziness, nausea snd of course the incredible headaches. One week later the Dr. Doubled the dose to 200 mg three times a day. I was very skeptical, knowing the side effects but it has made an incredible difference. The fog has lifted and I am clearer. I can tell when it is time to take it again because the head aches and dizziness start creaping back in. I am concerned about long term. I don't want to be dependent on a med. How long does someone usually need it? Would I become dependent? |

So sorry to hear you have been hurt. I also love the out doors and can only tolerate alittle time outside. I do not know if it is the heat, humidity or what but it can bring on some crushing headaches.
Hope you feel better soon.
