Default New Member/Autonomic Failure

Hi! I am so glad I found this site! I am 41 and have been sick for about 9 years with what seemed like strange, unrelated, and worsening symptoms - dizziness, digestive issues, poor circulation, tremors, and complete heat intolerance. I've been to every kind of doctor you can imagine, most of which either say I have anxiety or that they know something is wrong, but they don't know how to fix it or what to do it. I recently visited Mayo and was so glad to finally hear someone tell me i am NOT crazy! I'm going through extensive testing and consultation, but appear to have some type of autonomic failure. I want a diagnosis, but sometimes scared to hear this all. I realize we all want a quick, magic cure. So now I'm trying to focus my energy and accept the adjustments I've had to make in my life - and they are very hard with 3 children and being so independent for the majority of my life. The heat problem is so severly limiting, I absolutely hate it. I do not sweat at all and that is really bad living in a very hot area in the summer. I would love to hear from anyone with similar issues and I'm hoping to gain support from this community. Thank you!

Katie

Note OMG LOL Am I not Alone?

Hi Katie,

I am having the worse summer of my life.....please tell me more about your condition, as much as possible. I have a heat intolearncethat causes me to unbearably Ipainfully and ruefully itch like crazy, have a tender burning scalp, my hair has been falling out almost all year, when the sun touches me I breakout in a burning prickly itch PAIN!! not just a little itch..i cannot do anything strenuous or I start itching and it is a horrible painful itch everywhere..., i cannot more than move just a" little" on a hot day.

..ive had an escalation of PN problems this summer and weird burning, hellfire episodes where I have had to literally soak my hands and feeet in ice water to numb them as they were on fire...i am basically allergic to the heat and sun and i do not sweat right...do you know what is going on with me??? please help! ANY insight or suggestions would be so so so appreciated I have systemic sjogrens, fibromyalgia, peripheral neuropathy (which was manageable until this spring when things stated going cuckoo??!!), and autoimmune ear disease Please hang in there.......
FacingChains, justs call me chains.
