Default Hello, I'm Stacie

Well, first off I have been looking for a site like this for over a year now! Somehow I guess I was not ment to find it til now.
About me...I'm 39, homeschooling mom of 3. Married to my best friend for 18 yrs. I love God and all he has done and continues to do for me and my family!!
So, why would I look for a site like this?? Here goes...
In Febuary of 2011 I had brain surgery. I had complained of migranes for a year before this. I had taken everything, except shots, for these. I saw my family Dr, an ENT specialist, and a natural Dr, oh, and some crazy lady who had her computer read my hands and eyes! No one had an answer. Finally the headaches got to 4 migraines a day. At this point my vision would double when the pain was at it's worst. All I could do was sleep. My Husband and I finally decided to go to an ER and request a CT scan. Well, from there I was moved to another hospital, one that specializes in brain surgery. They did an MRI, I had a tumor the size of a gold ball on my right back side. I spent the weekend in the hospital, went home for 2 days, then back for surgery.
After the tumor was removed my vision went double for 8 weeks, the left side of my face had no feeling or movement, and my mouth lost all temp. feeling. They have never been able to answer why this happened. I had one DR tell me it did not happen! Love that guy, lol!
In 8 weeks I had a follow up MRI, things were good, but I had these awful bouts of fear. They said it was all in my head and went on. Finally I had a DR listen to what I was feeling. He diagnosed me as severe panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and agoriphobia. I have alway been a social person, until now. I take different meds for the panic/anxiety, but they still come and go as they please. I work with a therapist, it helps, some.
My intrest is in weather or not this is common after Brain Surgery?? My DRs tell me it's just from the "trauma", well I think it would have left by now if that was the cause?
Any advice or thoughts on this would be awesome!! And feel free to ask me anything! I have found that I feel more at ease when I can help someone else, seems to give me and my craziness some purpose! LOL!!
Thank you in advance!
And GOD bless!!
Stacie
