Default Myasthenia Gravis - New Member

Hi all. I'm Mark, a 61 year old man in the San Francisco bay area. I was just recently diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis although I have been suffering with the symptoms for the last six months..I just didn't know what it was. I have been put on Menstinon and Prednisone. I completed a IVIg treatment four days ago and am hoping to see some positive results. My symptoms (in my opinion) are also aggrevated by the fact that I am dependent...okay, addicted to...Ativan, a short-acting benzodiazapine that I have been taking for over ten years. Things seem to be going downhill but I keep telling myself these are early days in my treatment and that things will improve. I hope to find others here who are in the same or similar boat so we can encourage and inform each other and hopefully all get through this. Well that's about it for my intro. May God bless you all, ease your suffering and speed your recoveries.
